About Skilcraft LLC
Skilcraft Sheetmetal, Inc. (Burlington, Kentucky) was originally founded in 1965 by the six Anderson brothers. The company initially had success making stainless-steel kitchen equipment, trading on the Andersons' expertise in welding and polishing. The original 4,800 sq. ft. building has now grown to more than 80,000 sq. ft. Today's customer base covers a broad range of industries and OEM markets.
Skilcraft has long been a pioneer in the rapidly changing world of custom metal fabrication, through testing and early adoption of new technologies. This heritage of innovation continues today with transformation to CNC laser cutting technology, from single prototype manufacturing to high volume production. The recent installation of Skilcraft’s Salvagnini Flexible Punching, Shearing and Forming Cell takes the operation to another level of automation that will contribute even more to the success of our customers.
In June of 2004, Skilcraft Sheetmetal, Inc. was purchased by Skilcraft LLC, an equity group headed by Jay Vierling of AEV Capital and Skilcraft’s
president and CEO, Jim Berding. With an infusion of new capital, tooling, automation and training, the business has built upon the Skilcraft
name, manufacturing facilities and resources to enhance the company’s strategic position as a world-class contract manufacturer and provider
of precision sheet metal fabrication services.
